Fact Sheet

Hi everyone,

As you all know at Northmead and Baulkham Hills Beauty Therapy our main priority is to deliver a pleasant experience with the utmost attention to personalised care and hygiene.

In January 2007, The Hairdresser and Skin Penetration Quarterly Newsletter by Baulkham Hills Shire Council did a feature article on Athlete's Foot (Tinea Pedis).  I thought it would be some useful information for you all too see and to take aboard with making Northmead and Baulkham Hills Beauty Therapy the best skin care centres possible.

Athletes foot, also called tinea pedis, is a fungal infection of the foot. It causes peeling, redness, itching, burning and sometimes blisters and sores.

Athletes foot is a very common infection. The fungus grows best in a warm, moist environment such as shoes, socks, swimming pools, the floors of public showers and possibly foot spa's. Please ensure that the foot and hand spa's utilized in the salon are sufficiently cleaned with warm soapy water and hospital grade disinfectant.
