PARAMEDICAL MICRODERMABRASION

 

Microdermabrasion is a medical technique for removing the topmost layer of skin leaving it supple and vibrant. A Diamond Head wand removes this layer combined with a gentle vacuum effect removes the dead skin. This is done in a sterile and controlled manner. Removing this outer layer leaves skin looking and feeling buffed and also prepares and allows skin to penetrate active products.

 

Advantages of Microdermabrasion

 

Microdermabrasion is wonderful alternative to laser or cosmetic peels because it is non-invasive,non-surgical and requires no down time after treatment. Normal activities may be resumed immediately after. Clients experience softer, smoother and clearer skin after the fist treatment. A course of 6-10 treatments are recommended, depending on the condition and type of skin being treated and the desired result.

A Micro treatment is painless yet very effective. The degree of effectiveness is controlled by a widely adjustable vacuum. Your trained aesthetician will evaluate your skin to determine the strength of treatment to achieve the best result, while at the same time ensure your comfort.

 

How will I look after my treatment?

 

Your skin may look slightly flushed immediately after your fist treatment but should return to normal within 10-40 minutes (longer if having IPL photo-facial treatment combined with a micro). With additional treatments your skin will continue to improve and depending on your skin concerns and results desired, effective cosmeceutical products and a good physical sunscreen 30+ is advised everyday.

There are many machines on the market today. Some are of exceptional standard, and others that are very poor. Comedic Skin Solutions have invested in a Palomar Lux medical grade strength machine that offers effective treatments with maximum results. This machine is registered by the Australian Therapeutic Goods Administration (ATGA).  Most of the machines used today that are imported are not recognized nor registered by the ATGA.

 

IPL systems differ in energy levels, hence lower levels will result in endless treatments and unsatisfactory results. Paying less is not always best. Chances are you will outlay more money with only a TEMPORARY result.
