Retinol is a pure form of Vitamin A.  Whilst AHAs promote superficial exfoliation, retinol promotes the renewal of skin.  Retinol skincare products diminish visible appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and sun damage, lead to a smoother overall appearance of facial contours and more evenly-completed skin tone.  Many also report that their skin appears more supple and healthier-looking.

Whilst Retinol is one of the most important ingredients in the cosmetic industry, its use is nevertheless, challenging.  It is sensitive to light, oxygen and heat, resulting in significant loss of efficacy.

Our Encapsulated Retinol (Poly Pore 120RE) overcomes this challenge.  With our micro-encapsulation technology, we offer a solution that protects sensitive Retinol-based ingredients from external influences such as UV light and oxygen by enclosing them in shells made from natural biopolymers.  The active substances are released gradually and thus remain active for a long period of time.

The microcapsules deliver the ingredients directly to the point of action in the skin. Only when the shells are cracked by the skin’s natural enzymes is the active substance released.

Key Active Ingredients:

• Encapsulated Retinol, trade name: Poly Pore 120RE (see above).

• 1.5% Synthetic Snake Venom (SNY®-AKE), Synthetic Tripeptide that mimics the effect of peptide found in the venom of the snake Temple Viper.  The active part of the compound is Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate. This material is very effective against the appearance of mimic wrinkles: by temporary immobilisation of the facial contractions it smoothes out the appearance of mimic wrinkles and skin becomes more natural, younger and relaxed.  It also reduces the appearance of wrinkle depth and size.

• Purisoft; which is a natural peptide that possesses a dual activity: protection of skin against aggression by pollutant; purification of the skin by removing micro-particles coming from the environment.

• Biophytex (complex of 5 plant extracts rich in saponosides and flavonoides in combination with Yeast Extract): Ruscus Aculeatus Root Extract; Centella Asiatica; Calendula Officinalis Flower Extract; Aesculus Hippocastanum (Horse Chestnut) Extract; Hydrolized Yeast Protein.  This complex acts to soothe the skin; reduction of swelling of under eye zones; soothes reactivity of sensitive skin; improves the appearance of telangiectasias and erythrosis.  It also reduces dark circles activity around the eyes.

• Canadian Willowherb (extract from the plant Epilobium Angustifolium); natural skin calming agent; has very good free radical absorbing ability; very good anti microbial activity.

• Softolive (Hydrogenated Olive Oil Unsaponifiables and Hydrogenated Ethylhexyl Olivate); olive based emollient with excellent penetration, good lubrication against dry skin feel; helps relieve skin roughness and dryness and restores its suppleness and flexibility.

• Covitol 1100 (DL-alpha Tocopheryl Acetate); Vitamin E derivative has the same attribute as pure Vitamin E – acts as antioxidant, protecting skin from free radical damage and thus reducing the appearance of premature ageing.

• Trehalose and Hydrolysed Vegetable Protein (trade name Trealix) is combination of actives from mushrooms and vegetable materials.  It possesses excellent moisturising ability by linking more water to the skin cells.

• Ethoxydiglycol (trade name Transcutol P); a very good solubiliser and penetrating agent and carrier for AHA.

• Edelweiss (extract from flowers of Leontopodium Alpinum). This plant, growing on high altitude (strong UV radiation, extreme temperature and humidity changes) has developed protective mechanism very useful in skin protection. Overall, the extract has excellent anti-ageing properties.

• Photonyl; complex of natural cyto-chromophores (aromatic amino acids, derivatives and nucleotides). This complex acts as cyto-immuno photo protector, containing no UV filters, but with broad spectrum activity. The function is to protect against early skin ageing, photooxidation (damage caused by free radicals produced by UV radiation).

• Pistachio Nut Oil; Vegetable Oil from Pistachio Nuts has very good penetrating ability, dry after feel, spreads  quickly leaving smooth skin surface.

• Cosmoperine; a patented natural permeation enhancer from Black Pepper.
